Our Purpose
To be living proof of a loving God to a watching world.
A Collaborative Church
CTK Hope Church is a Collaborative Church
We are not denominational or non-denominational. We are interdenominational and collaborative with other churches, missions, and ministry networks that align with our core beliefs for collaboration expressed below.
Core Beliefs for Collaboration
1. The Incarnation
2. Salvation
3. Biblical inerrancy
4. The Trinity
5. Great Commandments
6. Great Commission
7. The Return of Christ
Core Beliefs for Collaboration
1. The Incarnation - Jesus Christ was God in human flesh, fully God and fully man. John 1:1,14
2. Salvation - Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone; accomplished by His death, burial, and bodily resurrection. Ephesians 2:4-9
3. Inerrancy - The Bible is God's truth without any mixture of error in the original text. Biblical principles made clear by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ (incarnate Word) are the underpinning of ministry.2 Timothy 3:16
4. The Trinity - The Trinity is one God who eternally exists as three distinct persons—Father, Son, and Spirit—who are each fully and equally God in eternal relation with each other. The redemptive plan of God is from the Father, through the Son, by the Holy Spirit.Ephesians 4:3-10
5. Great Commandments - Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. These two applications of love are the motivation for all Christian ministry. Matthew 22:37-40
6. Great Commission - We are to lead people to Christ, baptize them, teach them everything He said, and train them to be disciple makers.Matthew 28:18-20
7. The Second Advent (Return) - Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to establish his eternal reign and make all things new. Revelation 5:1-8
We collaborate with churches and mission organizations that hold fast to these seven core beliefs. We know that there will be differences on secondary, interpretive issues. We can fully cooperate in mission so long as we are not required to agree on secondary issues outside the seven core beliefs.
The seven core beliefs are in alignment with Scripture and the earliest creeds of the church.

Statement of Faith
God and His Word are trustworthy
At CTK Hope, we believe in the goodness of God and the reliability of His Word. In a world that often feels uncertain, we all need a “true north.” For us, that’s God’s Word, the Bible. We trust that God has revealed Himself through Scripture, and it serves as our ultimate guide for life and faith.
The Bible isn’t just an ancient text—it’s living, active, and relevant for today. Like a roadmap, it shows us the way forward, corrects us when we’ve gone astray, and guides us back to the right path (2 Timothy 3:16). We interpret the Bible "normally," taking its meaning at face value while respecting its literary context, ensuring that all our teachings are firmly rooted in God’s Word.

Christ is the Savior and King
The name of our church, Christ the King, reflects our deepest conviction. We believe that Jesus Christ alone deserves the throne of our hearts. When we declare Him as King, we acknowledge His supreme authority over our lives (Philippians 2:10-11).
Christ is not one of many paths—He is the only way to eternal life with God. Our belief is anchored in Scripture, which teaches that Jesus Christ is the sole source of salvation (Acts 4:12, John 14:1-6). This truth is the heartbeat of our church, and we hold it close, declaring Christ as our Savior and King.
Our conviction that Christ is both Savior and King stems from our trust in God’s Word. The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus is the only way to eternal life (Acts 4:12, John 14:1-6), and we hold this truth close to our hearts.

There is hope for the future, and forgiveness for the past
At CTK Hope, we embrace the grace and love of God. We believe that no matter our past, there is always hope for the future. Our God is a God of grace, always reaching out to the lost with arms wide open (Luke 15). Jesus gave His life for us not because we deserve it, but precisely because we don’t. His love is unconditional, and His forgiveness is freely given.
We are a church of recovery and restoration. At CTK Hope, failures aren’t the end of the story. We believe that through God’s grace, anyone can be redeemed, restored, and renewed. Our mission is to help people discover this hope and transformation, so they can go on to become a source of hope for others.

The church is vital
The church is not just a gathering place—it’s the heart of our mission to proclaim salvation through Jesus Christ. While the church itself doesn't save—only the gospel can do that—it holds a sacred responsibility to spread the "good news" far and wide. This mission isn't passive; we are intentional and proactive, knowing that time is precious. There’s an urgency because God's heart is for all people. He desires that His offer of salvation would be extended to everyone (Matthew 24:14).
Principles Regarding Marriage, Sexuality, and the Church
From the very beginning, God designed marriage for the well-being of humanity (Genesis 2:20-24; Mark 10:6-9). At CTK Hope, we uphold the biblical understanding of marriage as a lifelong union between one man and one woman. This relationship is built on mutual love and service, embodying the “one flesh” partnership described in Scripture. Men and women, both created in God’s image (Genesis 1:27), are called to reflect this divine equality and mutual submission, as modeled by Christ’s relationship with the Church (Ephesians 5:21-31).
Our understanding of human identity, well-being, and marriage is rooted in the Bible, not societal trends, or state laws. We align our faith and ministries with Scripture, believing it holds the ultimate truth about personhood, marriage, and sexuality.
Sexual intimacy is a beautiful gift from God, designed to be enjoyed within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Within this sacred bond, it is celebrated and honored (Hebrews 13:4). We believe that marriage is the only proper context for sexual intimacy, and Scripture calls us to purity before marriage and faithfulness within it.
We believe that God created human beings, male and female (Genesis 1:27) We also recognize the need for deep compassion for individuals who consider themselves to be lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or any who have faced mistreatment or marginalization. At CTK Hope, we are committed to radical hospitality and Christ-like love for all who wish to worship and walk with us. We aim to be agents of Jesus' grace, trusting the Holy Spirit to lead each person on their journey toward transformation and a life aligned with biblical truth.
As a church, we believe in being a source of healing and transformation for those seeking to live a wholesome Christian life. While we respectfully stand against cultural practices that legitimize adultery, pre-marital and extra-marital intimacy, as well as homosexual relationships, we remain committed to offering grace, love, and support to all.

7. Baptism & the Lord's Supper
We observe baptism and the Lord’s Supper as ordinances for the Church. While they do not contribute to salvation, they are significant acts of obedience and remembrance.
