The Fallen Human State

Apart from the grace of God alone (sola gratia) that is received through faith in Christ alone (solo Christo/sola fide) we are:

Dead: Verse 1 thanatos = separated and fully incapacitated

Bedeviled: Verse 2 tempted, accused, corrupted

Doomed: Verse 3 subject to wrath/damnation

The relevance of Soli Deo Gloria hinges on those two little words, ‘But God…’.

We need to exchange the “But I...” mindset for the “But God...” outlook and give God all the glory!

Your life will either be a BUT I… or a BUT GOD… story. If it is the latter, you will give all glory to God. SOLI DEO GLORIA!
