Relational Life - Week #5 By Cliff Tadema

John 10:10 Matthew 5:23 Matthew 18:15-17 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 Matthew 6:15

A Devotional Life

A Relational Life

A Missional Life

Satan and his minions sow the seeds for conflict and offense.

SATAN’S WEAPON IS THE OFFENSE. HIS STRATEGY IS DIVISION. HIS GOAL IS DESTRUCTION.

Satan’s 3 Part Objective in Conflict:

  1. Point blame
  2. Incite Division
  3. Validate Destruction

God’s desire is to turn the enemies’ schemes into good for His kids.

God’s 3 Part Objective in Conflict:

  1. God gets the glory.
  2. Satan gets defeated.
  3. You get more like Jesus.

Conflict & Offense is a spiritual exercise regimen of the Holy Spirit.

“If you listen to the voices around you, you’ll search for a substitute – an escape route. You’ll miss the fact that each one of those problems is a God-appointed instructor ready to stretch you and challenge you and deepen your walk with him.” Charles Swindoll

THE JESUS PROCESS OFFERS RECONCILIATION BUT INSISTS ON RESOLUTION.

THE JESUS PROCESS

RECONCILE OR RESOLVE IT AND THEN… LET IT GO!

“When conflict arises, you go to the person in private and discuss the problem for reconciliation.”

Engage with the objective being reconciliation or resolution.

The Jesus process keeps the problem in the smallest circle possible.

  1. Ourselves
  2. You Go
  3. Two or Three Others
  4. The Church

Your FIRST job with conflict is to INSIST on Jesus’ process.

Reconciliation is impossible without taking responsibility.

The enemy uses triangulation to gain a foothold for his lies.

Refuse to get involved if the process is not followed.

Healthy conflict resolution grows both parties and honors God.

To release someone from an offense requires forgiveness.

It takes 2 to reconcile but it only takes 1 to forgive.

When we forgive and let an offense go, we are set free.

RECONCILE OR RESOLVE IT AND THEN… LET IT GO!
